It was very difficult in the beginning to take a step back and trust the process Ms. Mira was implementing. My baby struggled in the beginning, but I wanted her to get it together being she was a student-athlete in the 7th grade. It didn’t take long before she was coming home with notes and homework, being responsible for her work and much more organized. I don’t have to worry about what’s coming up next or if she forgot to do something because Ms. Mira is stern and holds her accountable for so much. She knows what she needs to do and can always contact her for help. Her grades are really good now, and she is more focused in class because she knows she has responsibilities and have to communicate with Ms. Mira daily. Her attitude has changed and her confidence is out the roof. Thank you Ms. Mira for what you have done for my family!
I would like to thank Ms. Mira for what she has done for my 8th grader during her mid-life crisis. I was referred to Ms. Mira because my daughter was starting to fall behind in her AP classes, and it was becoming difficult for us to communicate about school stuff without a big meltdown. She always had pretty good grades, but Ms. Mira just stepped in and made things better. It’s hard to explain everything she has done and how she does it, but the experience has been great for my relationship with my daughter. She encourages her, talks to her about so many things, supports her at her games which she really likes and she says she just feels like Ms. Mira really cares how and why she do things. The year round support has helped tremendously, and it’s very easy to get in touch with Ms. Mira. I would recommend her even if your child is doing good in class because she does so much for the long term of my child’s academics and self-esteem.
Ms. Mira has always been there for me every day and night. Once you start working with Ms. Mira, you will push yourself to accomplish all those goals that you come to her for because she encourages you and makes them easier. Before I started working with Ms. Mira, I was passing my all of my classes, but my parents and I felt like my grades could be better. After being with Ms. Mira from November-May, I passed my STAAR math like I wanted to ranking above average in my district. I was accepted into the National Junior Honor Society and earned A & B honor roll all while preforming well with my busy sports schedule. My daughter has made tremendous academic and personal strides throughout the 2015-2016 school year. Through the development of her time management, and organizational skills, she was able to successfully complete tasks and obtain her goals. As a result, she was recognized as a STAR student for the 3rd nine weeks, received the year around A/B Honor Roll award, was inducted into the National Jr. Honor Society, named MVP of her 7th grade basketball team, and was accepted in to the Summer STEAM program at Houston Community College. In addition, her math STAAR test scores rose 200 points which was above the state and district averages. Ms. Mira was able to accommodate our busy schedules with a combination of in person and online tutoring sessions. She also found it very helpful that she was able to call or text her with questions and/or concerns whenever she needed. I have to say that Mira has made me a believer in online tutoring. I have an 8th grader who is taking Pre-A/P Algebra and a sophomore who is taking Pre-A/P Algebra 2. Three weeks into the school year, both were having difficulty keeping up with the pace of their classes. I was skeptical about having Mira tutor them online, however, given that they needed the flexibility of the later tutoring sessions due to football practices/games, we decided to give it a try. Within a few weeks, Mira had helped both boys turn things around completely in their classes. She quickly assessed the pace of the classes and started providing supplemental notes to help fill in the gaps for the boys. She has restored their confidence in their math skills and we have seen a marked improvement in both of their grades. Mira is organized, punctual and has adjusted her style based on each boy’s individual learning style. She is highly recommended!
In 1 week, she helped my High School Junior go from a 68 to a C+ in Algebra 2. I repeat… this happened in less than 7 days. I believe all A’s and B’s are in my daughters future now because of Mira. She is a life saver. She met with the teacher to get a good understanding of exactly what my daughter needed. She is much more than a tutor. She is an academic coach who is committed to the overall success of her student clients. She is well worth every penny.
Mira is everything I truly recommend this woman here. My daughter who is currently in the fourth grade has been struggling and is a little behind which she just couldn’t catch up. Her confidence was just shot down she didn’t want to interact with her fellow classmates because she didn’t want anyone to laugh at her or she didn’t want to get the answers wrong. For me as a mother I was hurt because I couldn’t teach her. That’s when my husband and I found Ms. Mira, and I’m glad that this lady came into our lives, in one day in my child’s session I heard my daughter learning and answering questions, counting with her fingers not doing markings on paper anymore. Over the past few weeks my child has changed drastically her grades improved which she was excited and me, she is always ready for her sessions with Ms. Mira she smiling more, takes initiative now with her homework and tells me mommy I got it. I’m glad that my husband and I made the right decision to hire with Ms. Mira!
She is the best. She helped me a lot with my math skills. She makes everything very easy and clear, and the online sessions are very easy and fun!. The whole experience was amazing!
Mira has been a tremendous asset in my daughter’s education, as an algebra tutor and beyond. We hired Mira because my 8th grader was struggling in her Pre-AP algebra course and her teacher was less than patient or helpful in explaining the concepts more than once. Mira has definitely helped bridge the learning gap, encourage organizational and study habits, and increase confidence in her academics. Although Mira can be a stickler for structure, my daughter greatly looks forward to her sessions and sees her as a true mentor and ally. We definitely look forward to continuing our relationship with Mira as my daughter starts high school next fall!
Ms. Mira is a wonderful Academic Coach and will be a great asset to the team as she was for me this year. She was extremely helpful, she doesn’t just give out answers and she is tough and stern. It was a pleasure and helpful for me to communicate with her regularly and keep her updated with notes, lessons and review materials for her clients.
